The Manfrotto MT055XPRO3 Aluminum Tripod is a three-section support that replaces the 055XPROB tripod. It has a load capacity of 19.8 lb and extends from 3.5 inch to 66.9 inch. Its legs are secured by the Quick Power Locks. These updated flip locks increase the tripod’s rigidity by 50%, and its load capacity by 4.4 lb over its predecessor.

A redesigned center column has a “one finger” operation, and includes an Easy Link attachment for attaching accessories such as an LED light or a reflector. The center column can be positioned horizontally, allowing for low-angle and macro photography. The upper disc where a tripod head is mounted has been redesigned as well, and now has a bull’s eye bubble level that rotates 360° so you can locate it where you can see it. This allows you to level your camera on both the horizontal and vertical planes.

While the design of a monopod is relatively simple, the Manfrotto Monopod+ line utilizes some innovative features which make using the MVMXPRO500US fast and easy. The primary feature of the line is the inclusion of Manfrotto’s patented Power-Lock flip locks which snap open and closed to ensure fast operation and a tight, unyielding lock. The D-shaped leg sections have been designed not only to compliment the Power-Locks but also to prevent unwanted twisting between leg sections and increase the stability of the monopod. The integrated FLUIDTECH base utilizes a “3D” fluid cartridge which facilitates smooth pans and tilts from a single connection point. The cartridge may be locked vertically to isolate movement to only the 360° panning axis, allowing for smooth, level, uninterrupted rotation. While engaging the vertical lock may allow the monopod to stand, it does not support free-standing function and should not be left unattended when not in use.

With a payload up to 8.8 lb, the Ace fluid head features five steps of counterbalance as well as a plate that features a 4.1″ range of adjustment, so you can balance your small camera to a very precise degree. Designed by Sachtler engineers for the Ace head, the SA drag system enables smooth, precise panning and tilting via the head’s pan bar, with three grades of drag in both the horizontal and vertical dimensions, plus the option of zero drag.
